This Privacy Policy explains how StatPotion.com (“StatPotion”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, SDKs, APIs, and related services (the “Services”). It also explains your choices and rights.
By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
1.1 Account and Contact Information
- Email address, name, organization, billing details you provide when creating an Account or contacting us.
1.2 Service Usage and Device Information
- IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and usage patterns.
- Log data related to API requests and SDK usage for performance, security, and troubleshooting.
1.3 Game and Developer Content
- Game metadata (e.g., game name, schemas, configuration, API key scopes) you submit.
1.4 End User Data (Developer-Provided)
- Data about your players/users that your Game chooses to store using the Services (e.g., game save data, settings, pseudonymous player IDs). We process this data on your instructions and on your behalf.
1.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies
- We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (authentication, security), preferences, analytics, and to improve the Services. You can control cookies via your browser settings; some features may not function without essential cookies.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate, secure, and prevent abuse;
- Process transactions, billing, and account management;
- Provide support, respond to inquiries, and troubleshoot issues;
- Analyze usage and performance (e.g., to improve SDKs, APIs);
- Communicate about updates, features, and service notices;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where required by law (e.g., EEA/UK), we process personal data on these legal bases: contract performance, legitimate interests (e.g., improving and securing the Services), consent (where applicable), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Service providers and subprocessors that help us operate the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, logging, analytics, payment processing). We require appropriate contractual protections.
- Affiliates as necessary for providing the Services.
- Law enforcement, regulators, or others when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a corporate transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition), subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share End User Data with third parties except to provide the Services at your direction or as required by law.
5. End User Data; Roles and Responsibilities
For End User Data from your Game, you act as the controller and we act as the processor. You determine the categories of data you store and your purposes for processing. You are responsible for providing any required notices, obtaining any necessary consents, and honoring end-user rights requests where you are the controller.
We process End User Data only to provide and improve the Services, to prevent fraud/abuse, to comply with law, and as otherwise permitted by our agreement with you.
6. International Data Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
7. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you are responsible for securing your integration, devices, and credentials.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. End User Data is retained according to your configuration and our agreement with you; upon termination, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless required to retain it by law.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection/restriction. To exercise rights for your Account data, contact us at privacy@statpotion.com. For End User Data managed by a Developer, contact the Developer directly; we will assist the Developer as required by law and our agreement.
You can manage marketing communication preferences via email opt-out links. Essential service-related emails may still be sent.
10. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@statpotion.com so we can take appropriate action.
11. California Privacy Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA)
For residents of California, you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information. We process End User Data as a service provider to Developers. You may also authorize an agent to make requests on your behalf. To submit a request, email support@statpotion.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
12. EEA/UK Disclosures (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA/UK, StatPotion, Inc. is the controller for Account data. You have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction/objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where we act as a processor for End User Data, we process under your instructions and our data processing agreement.
13. Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Subprocessors
We offer a DPA for customers that require one. You can request a signed DPA at support@statpotion.com. We maintain a list of subprocessors and will provide notice of material changes as required.
14. Cookies Notice (Summary)
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary: required for core site functionality and security.
- Functional: remember preferences and improve experience.
- Analytics: measure usage to improve features and performance.
You can control cookies through browser settings or relevant consent tools where required by law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting on our site, via the dashboard, or via email. Your continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of the changes.
